Stephen Leigh & S.L. Farrell

I did these drawings while I was working on DARK WATER’S EMBRACE. I wanted to ‘see’ the world of my characters and especially how the Miccail (the extinct alien race in the novel) might once have looked. The pen-and-ink landscape is “The Rock”, where the humans live. The pencil drawings are of a Miccail hand and a Miccail face, in my mind what Anaïs would have drawn as she worked on the bog body. They’re also ‘signed’ by her.
